Exposition du vendredi…
Le dernier jour du camp (le vendredi 26 juillet 2013), nous aurons une mini exposition. Nous exposerons tous les travaux des élèves et célébrerons avec nos nouveaux amis.
La mini exposition aura lieu durant les dernières 15 minutes de la classe. Les parents, grands-parents et amis sont les bienvenus.

N’oubliez pas …
Veuillez s’il vous plaît apporter une collation pour le matin et une pour l’après-midi ainsi qu’un repas pour le midi. Nous sommes une école sans noix.

Our 2013 Summer Camp Schedule is up!

Our awesome and imaginative weekly themes run weekly from July 8th to August 2nd.

Friday Art Show…
On the last day of each camp (Friday) we will have a mini art show. We display all the work the students have done for the week and celebrate new friends.
The mini art show will begin during the last 15 minutes of class on Fridays.
Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome to attend.

Don’t forget …
Please remember to bring your morning and afternoon snacks,
and a proper lunch. We are a Peanut Free School .

Description:Let’s celebrate dad by making an awesome craft to frame a
great memory! Bring your own favourite picture.

We are starting a new class called “Step Ahead” for pre-school children of ages 3-4.

Description:
Students will learn the visual recognition of the 5 Elements of Shape and how to use them in the recognition of the Alphabet, the Numbering system, the Drawing of their own name, and simplistic drawings of creatures from nature. The class consists of sensory activity, story time and guided drawing and craft projects. Mixed media is explored.
The Step Ahead program improves concentration, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and problem solving. It also improves proficiency in pre-drawing and reading readiness which makes it a great program for transitioning into a formal pre-school program.

Time:It is a one hour class once a week on Saturdays from 11:00am -12pm.
Fees: $104.00 for a one month session (4 classes) or $290.00 for a three month session (12 classes).

Space in the class is limited to six students so pre-registration is encouraged.

The class has been a great success and is completely full.

This course would be of interest to students who are planning to apply to a university, college or academic program that requires a portfolio submission for admission.

This course covers the fundamentals of drawing, design and composition that will give students a greater advantage when submitting portfolios. The instructor will suggest work and assignments tailored to the individual student’s portfolio requirements and will instruct on how to improve necessary skills. Personal consultation will be provided on students’ existing portfolio and application projects.

In twelve sessions students will develop drawing, paintings and mixed media projects with a focus on proportions, rendering with better understanding of the gray scale value, different application of techniques and mediums and will be provided with two sessions of figure drawing from a model and portraiture.

In addition there will be a practice Portfolio review and guidelines on documenting works. Materials are mostly provided by Monart. Any additional materials needed based on individual’s submissions will be discussed in the first session.
